Lionel Messi and Pedri’s partnership at Barcelona is delightful.

Barcelona club captain, Lionel Messi, and teenage sensation Pedri are looking to form a great link up and understanding while on the pitch. The duo was hailed extremely well by the former Everton manager Ronald Koeman after their latest victory against Athletic Bilbao.

More from Everything Barca

The Dutchman’s side ended up playing extremely well as they beat Athletic Bilbao at San Mames by the score of 3 goals to 2. The Blaugranas fell behind at the third minute but managed to make the scoreline 3-1 midway into the second half. However, the Catalans conceded a late goal from Iker Munain which turned out to have no impact and only stayed as a consolation goal.

The former Las Palmas youngster Pedri played some outstanding football alongside the 33-year-old Messi. Koeman hailed the youngster to be very promising as he stated that Pedri’s decision-making, vision, and maturity are all extremely at a good level especially given his tender age. At this age players usually struggle and fail to make an impact due to a lack of maturity and understanding. However, it’s different for the 18-year-old according to the former Netherlands boss.

The Argentine and Spaniard formed an outstanding link up as both of them seem to have fantastic chemistry. It’s almost as if both of them were aware of their positions and their potential movement from that aforementioned position. The youngster is looking extremely promising and he has had the former Southampton coach absolutely impressed so far. Talented youngsters like Carles Alena and Riqui Puig do not even make the first squad but Pedri seems to have taken things into his own hands. If Lionel Messi does end up staying at Barcelona, he will most certainly have a great partnership with the youngster. However, it is looking extremely unlikely for the Argentine to stay.

Which is your favorite memory of the duo?
