Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain

PSG’s Kylian Mbappe is currently 22 years of age. Over the last few years, he’s had a massive impact on Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain. The youngster played a major role in France’s World Cup victory in 2018 and it is no doubt that he would be fantastic for Barcelona.

Barca had the option to sign him instead of Dembele but Bartomeu did not believe in Mbappe’s talents. Dembele, however, has struggled ever since his arrival at Camp Nou. He had faced multiple injuries that had seen him out for countless minutes and he had not exactly lived up to the hype and his price tag.

Meanwhile, Mbappe has reached a total amount of 100 goals in 3 years for the Parisians in all competitions. The Frenchman is clearly world-class at a very young age. He should definitely be an option for Barcelona if they do want to get back to their very best.

The World Cup winner has already shown desire to leave Parc des Princes with many believing Real Madrid to be the favorites to land him due to the connection with Zinadine Zidane. But with Zidane’s uncertain future at the Bernabeu, Barca could technically swoop the youngster given they sell players like Coutinho, Griezmann or/and Dembele for his signing, or wait until 2022 when his contract expires.
