#4 More depth in the wings

Currently, Lionel Messi, Ansu Fati, and Ousmane Dembele are the only wingers that Barcelona have, not counting Francisco Trincão as the youngster is yet to prove himself at the Nou Camp.

With Fati out for a long time, it only leaves the club with Messi and Dembele to play on the wings. Dembele is also known to be quite injury prone so if he succumbs to an injury, they will have to play someone out of position.

This is an area which no one quite talks about but they need to get other wingers as backups to their main players. Messi could also be leaving the club at the end of the season which would mean that they will not have any wingers apart from Fati and Dembele.

Griezmann has been played on the flanks a few times but it is not his preferred position and Koeman should look into bringing more players in that position. While playing a 4-3-3 formation it is crucial to have support on the wings as they will put in balls into the box but if Fati and Dembele both get injured at the same time, it will leave the club with no true wingers and that can be very problematic.

If transfers are not feasible right now, perhaps Koeman should look to the ‘B’ squad with players like Konrad de la Fuente and captain, Álex Collado, deserving a chance.
