The likes of Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann, Pedri, and Ousmane Dembélé are also going to sit this one out. Messi because of his suspension after picking up a red card and the other three for rest.

Martin Braithwaite will come back in as the striker with youngster Konrad de la Fuente likely to get a start. That leaves one spot open.

It would be easy to slot in Trincao but another Barça B player, Alex Collado, could also feature. Trincao has had plenty of opportunities to contribute and simply hasn’t. One has to wonder how many opportunities he will get until Koeman’s seen enough.

Collado, on the other hand, has been performing well in the Segunda B. He had the option of leaving prior to the start of the season but decided to stay and fight for a place in the first team. That decision could finally be paying off.
