French giants, Paris Saint-Germain, are planning on a rebuild of sorts and thus they are looking to bring in some new talents. They are already planning to bring in Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi, but they need to bring in young talents as well. PSG sporting director, Leonard, has recognized Barcelona youngster, Emerson Royal, as a potential target and Barcelona could benefit from the deal if it eventually goes through.

More from Everything Barca

The 22-year-old Brazilian was signed by the Catalans in 2019 but has never been used even once. He is currently on loan at Real Betis and has made 14 appearances in the La Liga.

PSG are planning to offer up to 25 million euros for the right-back and it will be a very good deal for Barcelona. The Spanish giants signed Sergino Dest from Ajax last year and thus Emerson’s chances of playing for them are very slim.

PSG is offering a way out for the player and Barcelona are looking to make at least 10 million euros in profit from the deal. They paid 12 million euros to buy him in 2019 but they will need to pay Betis some consolation for his sale. However, they will still be making a much-needed profit from a player they never even used.

This will go on to help them finance other important moves such as the one of Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay. Besides, Dest has become a very important player in Ronald Koeman’s team and the young Dutch player is showing his potential at his new club.
