Barcelona are a club who are in massive financial debt due to their many failed transfers and economic crisis brought on by the ongoing pandemic.

The club is over 500 million euros in debt and will have to go through a massive wage cut in order to maintain their budget and avoid going bankrupt. However, with the lack of funds, Ronald Koeman is not being able to bring in all the players he desires. He could only bring in one player in the last transfer window, Sergino Dest, but he had a lot more players on his mind.

The Dutch boss has recently restated the importance of signing reinforcements, without which he fears that’s the club will see a massive drop in performance. Barca are currently 10 points behind league leaders, Atletico Madrid, and while their recent performances have been showing signs of improvement, the serious lack of depth in the squad will certainly cause them problems.
