They have gotten new, young players such as Ronald Araujo and Oscar Mingueza to rise up from the lower ranks however, they are still inconsistent. Conceding three goals in a club finals is not acceptable by the Spanish giants and they need some changes in the squad.
Defenders like Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti, and Jordi Alba will have to be replaced for younger talents. While the ongoing economic crisis will most likely make it very difficult to make any signings, the presidential candidates have shown interest in selling non-essential players and sign essential reinforcements in the near future.
