Eric Garcia’s deal from Manchester City to Barcelona is as good as done. It has been reported that the player has agreed to personal terms with the Catalan side and will be moving back to the Nou Camp next season. The 20-year-old Spanish centre-back has a lot of potential and started showing his talent since his early days at Barcelona’s youth academy, La Masia.

However, when he could not break into the first team quickly, he got impatient and left for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. Things did not work out much better there either and he only played for the senior team 30 times, since his arrival in 2018. Now in 2021, the young center-back wants to return to his home and his old club.

He has great potential and he shows his confidence with the ball, he still needs to build a bit of physicality but he will gradually develop that as well. He will be coming to the Catalans for free next season and that will be a massive boost to Koeman’s squad.
