#4 Jose Gaya (Valencia CF | Age: 25 | Left-Back)

Firpo has been quite a disappointment for Barcelona and Koeman sees no point in keeping him. The Dutch manager already let go of right-back, Nelson Semedo, and in his place brought in youngster Sergino Dest. Now it seems like he will do the same thing for Firpo and one of his options is Valencia’s skipper, Jose Gaya.

The 25-year-old Spaniard will be a safe bet for the Catalans as he already has immense experience in La Liga. Gaya has made more than 240 appearances for Valencia and he can certainly bring his skills to the Camp Nou. The captain was considered so important for his team that the coach said he would sell anyone apart from Gaya. However, with Covid-19 affecting Spanish clubs in a strong manner, that policy will certainly be challenged.

He will be a perfect replacement for the aging Alba as he can also play in the same advanced position. He still has not perfected the role of a wing-back but he is entering his prime and with help from the Barcelona coaches, he can surely become one of their best players.
