Barcelona is a club that always wants to win every trophy that is available. They missed out on the Supercopa de Espana when Athletic club came back from behind twice to win the game. It was heartbreak for the Catalan fans and for Ronald Koeman who has a lot of pressure on his shoulders to win a trophy this season. However, it seems as if the club has been blessed with good fortune once again and the Copa del Rey seems like a very likely victory.

More from Everything Barca

The Catalan kings surrendered their La Liga title last season to Real Madrid and they have already fallen 10 points behind the league leaders this season. The league title does not seem like a possibility this season and it will take sometime before they can contest for the UEFA Champions League again. Thus the Copa del Rey becomes their only realistic chance of winning any silverware this season.

They have been brought some luck as well, as both of their fiercest rivals, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have already been knocked out of the cup. Atletico was knocked out by Cornella in the second round while Alcoyano knocked Madrid out in the round of 32. This leaves Barcelona as the favorites for the trophy.

Levante, Real Betis, Villarreal, Almería, Granada, Athletic club, and Sevilla are the possible teams that the Catalans could face and none of them seem to possess too much of a threat to them. While Athletic did pull off an upset in the Supercopa finals, should they face Barcelona again, the Catalans will surely try their best to exact revenge. Apart from them, Sevilla are the only other team that could give them a strong challenge. However, the last time the two met in the finals, Barcelona put five past them without conceding any.
