Joan Laporta

Joan Laporta is by far the most experienced out of the three as he has already been president of Football Club Barcelona before. The former president has chosen to team up with former CEO of fundació la Caixa, Jaume Giró, to generate 65 percent of the revenue that they lost during the pandemic. Laporta also said that they would put a 270 million euros cap on spending till 2022-23.

He estimates that the club will see profit in the region of 6-7 percent if they follow his operations. As for the Project Espai Barca, Laporta has not decided anything yet and wants to wait until he has been elected to judge whether they are in a position to carry on with the plans. The former president, however, does have a plan to expand Barcelona’s presence through social media and lifestyle. He plans to open Barca Experience Complexes in five continents and through the Barca Studios, he plans to promote esports and train eMasias.

His plans do not stop there, however, as he also plans to upgrade the number of sponsors the team currently has. Laporta is also keen on participating in the European Super League as it will significantly raise their funds.
