Barcelona predicted lineup against Paris Saint-Germain
Left-back – Jordi Alba
The Barcelona veteran will most probably start in the match against the French giants as he has been Koeman’s first choice while Firpo has taken the backseat. He has started in all of the La Liga matches baring three games, which he missed due to injury, suspension, and fatigue. He was recently given a rest in the match against Alaves and he was just a spectator on the bench. However, he is the man for Barcelona and he has just been sublime this season. He has already given 10 assists this season and his attacking prowess will surely give Barcelona an advantage in the match.
Centre-back – Clement Leglet
We can expect to see the French centre-back keeping his spot in the defense. He has been one of the most constant players for Koeman and he has already made 30 appearances. He played well in the match against Alaves with Frenkie de Jong by his side, who is not a traditional defender. The 25-year-old, however, has only kept six clean sheets this season with the absence of his main partner Gerard Pique, so that is one place where he should definitely improve as Barcelona would not want to give away an away goal to a team like PSG.
Centre-back – Gerard Pique
With Ronald Araujo out injured and Koeman not looking too keen on Samuel Umtiti and Oscar Mingueza, that leaves the club with little choice for the second centre-back. Koeman told reporters that Pique has been practicing with the team for the past 4-5 days and that there is definitely a possibility of the Spaniard to make a comeback in the match against PSG. The match is too big to be left to young Migueza and underperforming, Umtiti, thus there is a very good chance that Barcelona will bring one Pique although he has been out of action since November.
Right-back – Sergino Dest
Sergino Dest can be expected to start in the right-back position as he has recovered from the muscular problem which left him out for three matches. He did, however, make a small appearance in the match against Alaves but he can be expected to start against PSG. He has been one of the only transfers made by Koeman this season and although he has not been able to reproduce his form in Ajax, he is still a great full-back and makes a lot of runs forward through which he can help out the attack.
