Ronald Koeman more disappointed with Cadiz draw than PSG loss

Ronald Koeman’s week with Barcelona was not the best as they suffered a massive defeat at home by Kylian Mbappe and Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain while also failing to capitalize on Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid dropping points.

The Catalans ended up drawing 1-1 with Cadiz in this weekend’s La Liga fixture. Lionel Messi was on the scoresheet yet again but the team did not get the three points that they needed.

Ronald Koeman opened up about the draw against Cadiz. The Dutchman has stated that the draw against Cadiz felt worse than the hammering they received by PSG. Barcelona were looking for their eighth successive win against Cadiz in the La Liga. Ronald Koeman’s men were looking to bounce back from the PSG defeat and close in on the league leader Atleti. who had just dropped points but Cadiz gave a tough fight and Barca failed to convert the lead to three points.

At full time, Koeman had stated that he was very disappointed with dropping points. The former Everton manager also mentioned that this draw hurt him and his team more than the defeat they suffered against the French giants on Tuesday. Barca had the opportunity to go ahead of Real Madrid in the La Liga table but will now have to hope for another opportunity to close the gap to the top.
