Ronald Koeman still believes Barcelona can secure the La Liga
Barcelona has been having a rough couple of weeks. First, they were defeated by underdogs, Sevilla, in the Copa del Rey, and then they were humiliated in their own backyard by Paris Saint-Germain. Things could not get any worse for the club, or so we thought but then the Catalans let go of a win against Cadiz in the very last moments of the match. This was a huge blow for Ronald Koeman’s men as a win would mean that they would close the gap between them and Atletico Madrid to six points but as it stands, they are eight points behind them.

Although results have been quite disappointing in recent weeks, the manager still believes that the club can manage to win the La Liga if they pick up their form. According to Koeman, no club can win all their matches, and Atletico are bound to drop points just like they have been doing recently. Barcelona must bounce back and capitalize on these moments as there are still 15 more matches to go.
The manager felt that the team’s morale was going down after the loss against Sevilla and PSG and thus he felt like a boost in morale was necessary. In a pre-match conference, Koeman told reporters,
"“It’s time for the team to recover pride and energy, above all those that have been here for many years. Recent results against PSG and Sevilla have done damage but we have to move forward. It’s a moment when the captains and more experienced players have to create an atmosphere to go for everything.”Source Sport"
He went on to say that the team closed a bit of the gap with Atletico and much of the season is still left. Thus anything can still happen and the Dutch manager is refusing to let go of the hopes of winning the La Liga in his first season in charge. Apart from the league, Koeman must also focus on the Copa del Rey as a 2-0 lead is not impossible to overcome and with the players that Barcelona currently boasts, they should overcome the odds against Sevilla.
