Crucial Barcelona defender back in training ahead of Sevilla clash
It is no secret that the biggest enemy for Barcelona this season was injuries. Alongside the massive financial problems that the club has had, it has had no good luck in the injury department either. The club faced major injuries with major names like Ansu Fati, Gerard Pique, Philippe Coutinho and Ronald Araujo for major periods of time.

According to tweets from the club, Ronald Araujo is back in full training after facing an injury a month ago. The Uruguayan was very crucial for Barcelona after Pique and Clement Lenglet were out for a period of time respectively. Araujo and Oscar Mingueza filled in for them and did a pretty decent job under Ronald Koeman to grind out some good defensive statistics at the back.
However, it now looks like the young Uruguayan has made a full return to first-team training ahead of the massive second leg clash in the Spanish cup, against Sevilla. The Blaugranas are already 2-0 down from the first leg where they were absolutely dominated by Sevilla and ex Barcelona man Ivan Rakitic scored a top goal against his former team.
The defender faced a sprain injury in the tie against Real Betis which the Blaugrana won 3-2 in the most dramatic fashion. The Catalans could really use some defensive setup as of now because their form at the back has been shaky.
Araujo missed big and crucial ties like the first leg against Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League. Lenglet has been shaky at the back hence maybe he needs to be eased into the side to regain some form.
Even though it is going to be tough for the Catalans to make the comeback, a 2-0 lead is not impossible to overturn. The return of Ronald Araujo is certainly a major boost for the team, and the first clash against Sevilla in La Liga will help shape the team up ahead of the cup clash.
Will Barca beat Sevilla on both occasions?
