The Barcelona manager who is under a bit of pressure after losing 4-1 to Paris Saint-Germain suffered a nose bleed on Friday. According to ESPN, this was not his first nose bleed either. However, Barcelona came out with a statement saying that the boss was fine and it was caused due to the blood thinners he takes due to his heart condition.
Koeman went through cardiac surgery last year in May. He was in Amsterdam at his home when he felt chest pain. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and upon arrival, he learned that he had suffered a small heart attack. After Koeman’s cardiac catheterization, he was put on blood thinners and it is common for patients with heart problems.
The club, however, told the media not to be alarmed as it was not severe. Koeman should keep a check of his physical as well as mental health and the club should ease him a bit of his pressure. The club seems to have found their form once again after a few disappointing results and they beat Sevilla convincingly in the league to climb up to the second position.
The team is now just two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid albeit having played two games more. The last 13 games are crucial for all the three top teams as Atletico’s dip in form has left the league-wide open and should the Madrid side drop points again, Barcelona will have a great chance of overtaking them and giving Koeman his first trophy.
