Sergi Roberto is Barcelona’s only right back other than Sergino Dest but he has not been a challenge for the ex-Ajax man as he has been injured for the majority of the season. Roberto has suffered enormously from injuries this season and he may be calling his time at Barcelona over at the end of the season.
Dest has undoubtedly become Koeman’s favorite and Roberto will find it difficult to compete. The versatile midfielder has the ability to continue but at 29 years of age and with his contract running out in 2022, the Catalans will most likely sell him off as they would not like to lose him for free.
