Barcelona are preparing for a remontada against Paris Saint-Germain in the round-of-16 of the Champions League after losing the first-leg 1-4 at Camp Nou.

More from Everything Barca

The days leading up to this crucial clash has surprisingly been filled with extreme happiness and excitement for the Catalans. From the former president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s arrest to the successful remontada against Sevilla to reach the Copa del Rey finals, Barca fans have been living some of the happiest days in the club’s recent history.

Barca fans received another exciting news a few days ago with former president Joan Laporta returning to the role after winning the 2021 elections by a landslide against candidates Victor Font and Toni Freixa.

And it is with this positive energy with which Ronald Koeman’s squad travels to Parc des Princes to face the French giants in the hopes of performing another remontada after the historic 6-1 win in the 2016/17 season.

After the 1-1 draw against Cadiz following the 1-4 loss against PSG at Camp Nou, Barca have significantly improved their game with Koeman adapting to a new 3-5-2 formation. This allowed the full-backs to not only contribute significantly to the squad’s attacks but also have a man covering for them in the defense with the three centre-back lineup.

With the presence of Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, and Pedri along with the two wing-backs, Barca were able to maintain possession of the ball in the midfield while being able to press the opposition heavily when on a defensive setup.

With Barca expected to have a similar lineup against PSG, here are three things they must do to ensure a successful comeback to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
