Pedri responds to comparisons with Barcelona legend Iniesta

Pedri has made waves ever since his first appearance for Barcelona. The wonderkid’s connection to Lionel Messi has been almost cosmic. Already a well-established name in the U-17 to U-21 levels for Spain, the teenager has shown immense talent.

He received his call-up for the senior team of Spain in March, for the 2022 World Cup. The 18-year-old will now be making his debut for the Senior team and will surely be one to watch out for.
His attacking play of style and ability to play versatile positions has certainly made me a player to watch out for. He has been compared to club legend, Andres Iniesta, in the midfield on multiple occasions but he is keen to remain humble.

Choosing to remain neutral about these comparisons, the young starlet just wants to focus on his game and do well.

Well, one certainly can’t blame him, as Iniesta’s style and connection to Messi at Camp Nou is certainly legendary and a lot to follow up for the teenager. He does have immense talent and perhaps someday he may live up to the expectations.
