Former Barcelona boss, Luis Enrique, applauded wonderkid Pedri ahead of his debut for the Spanish national team over the international break.

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Pedri, at the mere age of 18, is one of the best young talents in world football. The youngster has featured in almost every Barca fixture this season and continues to display phenomenal performances in every opportunity he gets.
Ronald Koeman has praised the former Las Palmas midfielder on many occasions but the Dutch coach is not the only one applauding the wonderkid. Pedri is hoping to debut for the Spanish national squad on Thursday with Spain’s coach and former Barca boss, Luis Enrique showering the youngster with admiration.

Pedri is also compared to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta
Pedri has also been compared to Barca legend, Andres Iniesta, due to the similarities in their position and play-style to which Enrique said,
"“They are two different players. Pedri must be allowed to continue making mistakes and getting everything right. He is very humble and works and I have known him from his time in the U21 team but they are two different players ”.Source Mundo Deportivo"
Pedri also recently addressed the comparison with Iniesta and his response only confirms Enrique’s claims of him being humble and mature. The youngster undoubtedly has a bright future with Barca and hopes to repeat the same success with the Spanish team ahead of the World Cup qualifier matches against Greece, Georgia, and Kosovo.
