Harry Kane out of Barcelona reach as Tottenham set asking price
Barcelona wants to bring one mega signing in Erling Haaland. Should the poor financial structure restrict Barcelona from signing Haaland or should the Norwegian join any other club, the Blaugrana will look for other alternatives. Tottenham Hotspur Harry Kane is a potential alternative to Haaland.
Several clubs are interested in Haaland. From England, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have been credited with an interest whereas the Spanish powerhouses of Barcelona and Real Madrid also battle for the Norwegian. The 20-year-old’s agent, Mino Raiola, has already held a meeting with Joan Laporta along with the player’s father, Alf-Inge Haaland. The duo also toured Madrid and is now eventually heading to England, meeting the representatives of the respective clubs.

Borussia Dortmund does not want to part ways with the Norwegian goal machine this summer and hence have slapped a 150 million euros price tag for any club wanting to sign him in the upcoming transfer window. In case the Catalans fail to sign Haaland, they are keeping track of several other players, Spurs striker Kane happens to be one of them.
The 27-year-old has realized that if he wants to win the biggest prizes in football and hold silverware every season in his so far virgin hands, he may have to leave his boyhood club. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is a shrewd and stubborn businessman and negotiating with him is not an easy task.
Spurs are simply unwilling to do any business with a Premier League club when it comes to the sale of Kane. The Londoners simply cannot let their talisman depart to any of their direct rivals which leave clubs from Spain – Barcelona and Real Madrid in the hunt. Sadly, Spurs have slapped a ridiculous price tag making him unaffordable for every club in the world in the current global scenario.
Barcelona learn Harry Kane price
According to The Sun, Spurs want 205 million euros for Kane. Barcelona are simply not in the financial position to spend a fortune on the Englishman. With Spurs having a reputation of not budging from their valuation, Barca can forget about Kane. Unless Kane fights with his boyhood club and hands in a transfer request, chances of him leaving North London are extremely rare this summer.
Kane no doubt is one of the best strikers in the world but to shell out 205 million euros is a tough ask. The Blaugrana may have to turn their attention to other targets as alternatives to Haaland as Kane looks out of reach.
Now that Harry Kane transfer looks impossible, which strikers should Barca eye should they fail to land Erling Haaland?
