Attack:
Striker: Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi though has a risk of suspension if he gets yellow carded in the game against the Blanquivioletas, forcing him to miss the Clasico but the Argentine is not an angry red-headed 18-year-old who will do something horrendous to get himself a booking. He has unparalleled calm and composure and is likely to lead the team.
Argentina’s international fixtures were postponed by CONMEBOL to tackle the complicated travelling and quarantine measures in some countries which meant Messi had ample time to rest and re-energize himself for the final 10 La Liga games. In 10 games he has played against Valladolid, the 33-year-old has eight goals and seven assists and will be eyeing to add more to the tally.
Striker: Ousmane Dembele
Ousmane Dembele was another winner from the international break as the Frenchman continued his rich run of form in the two games he played. In fact, he scored a superb goal against Kazakhstan. Thankfully, he hasn’t suffered any minor setbacks and continues to grow and showcase his potential.
The 23-year-old played his first game for France since September 2018 and surely didn’t disappoint Didier Deschamps. Antonie Griezmann was excellent on international duty but Koeman would prefer to go with a pacey Dembele who can tear the Valladolid defence apart.
