The biggest match in La Liga and arguably all around the footballing world is just a couple of days away and Karim Benzema has made some comments showing great respect to their opponents as well as the tie itself. The French super striker has shown his admiration for Lionel Messi and Marc Andre Ter-Stegen ahead of El Clasico and it is good to see such sportsmanship even during such a critical moment of the league.

More from Everything Barca

The 33-year-old striker has been having one of his best seasons with Real Madrid to date. He has managed to score 18 goals in the league so far and has also scored five in the UEFA Champions League.

Benzema talks Lionel Messi and Ter Stegen

With a total of 24 goals and six assists in all competitions, the French man will be a handful for the Barcelona defense. However, Benzema has decided to give credit to the Catalan shot-stopper, Ter Stegen, in an interview as quoted by Mundo Deportivo. He said in the interview,

"“They have a good goalkeeper,”"

Apart from that, he also talked about the one and only Lionel Messi. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner is also having one of his personal best seasons with 23 goals in the La Liga alone. Benzema is wary about the Argentine and said in the interview,

"“Messi does everything on the field and you have to be careful with it because we already know it’s very dangerous,”"

It will be a tough game for Barcelona and they will need to win it at all cost to keep the title race going. A loss now would mean that all their hard work would be of no use. It’s a big occasion and El Clasico is one of the if not the biggest match in European football.

The Catalans need to beat Real as well as Atletico Madrid to win the La Liga however, none of those teams would be easy as they are also eyeing for the title. It is a very exciting end to the season and one which football fans just cannot miss.
