Barcelona are in a financial crisis however, they are also in need for some younger talent in a few positions. The manager had some players in his mind to fill in for these positions and a few free agents were also looked into however, now it seems like a new plan is in procession. Instead of going for new players in the transfer market, Joan Laporta is planning to explore his options in the Barca B team.

Should the Catalans decide to go for younger talents in their academy, it will save them a lot of money and will also help build future prospects. Three talents have already been shortlisted for the next season who will be playing in the first team. This means that Barcelona have already avoided three transfers. Here are the youngsters who have replaced the three possible transfers.

#1 Iliax Moriba for Georginio Wijnaldum

The first player on the list has to go to Iliax Moriba. The 18-year-old central midfielder has been compared to the likes of Paul Pogba. He has a lot of flair and ball control which reminds one of the 2018 world cup winner. The central midfielder started in the B team this season but was quickly promoted to the main squad. He was kept on the benches for quite a few games before finally making his debut against UE Cornella in the Copa del Rey.

He has gone on to make nine appearances for the Catalans so far and even scored a goal and provided three assists. He is slowly becoming a more prominent player on the team. The youngster even started in one match in La Liga which shows that Ronald Koeman is trusting him. He can be a perfect replacement for potential transfer target, Georginio Wijnaldum. The Liverpool player was heavily linked with the Blaugrana throughout this season and many expected him to join Barcelona on a free transfer. However, with the rise of Moriba, the Dutchman seems no longer important to Koeman.
