Cristiano Ronaldo unsurprisingly takes the number two spot on the list, falling behind Lionel Messi yet again. According to L’Equipe, the Portuguese superstar and five-time Ballon d’Or winner earns approximately 1 million pounds a week although no one is sure as to how much he exactly makes. This is a huge figure and he deserves every single penny however, he doesn’t even make half of what Messi does.

That will not bother him too much though as he has his own fashion brand and is an ambassador for Nike as well as other top-notch brands. He has a lifetime deal with Nike reportedly worth 1 billion US dollars. The Juventus star, however, is reaching towards the end of his professional career and there have been talks of the Turin side selling the player for as low as 29 million euros next season.
