Another player from the CSL and one of the highest-paid footballers in the world is former Chelsea superstar, Oscar. The 29-year-old superstar from Brazil was a sensation in the middle of the last decade when he used to play for Chelsea. With the Blues, he won a plethora of trophies and even took his club to the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. However, he made a shocking decision to move away from the London side in 2017.

The midfielder made it clear in later interviews that he moved away from European football due to the money that was being offered. Oscar came from a very poor background and thus knows the hardships of living on the other end of the spectrum. According to Sportskeeda, he earns roughly 400,000 pounds a week, making him the highest-paid player in the CSL. However, his salary could be subject to change due to new regulations which will put a cap on the amount a club can pay to a foreign player.
