Barcelona’s Star-Studded Six-Man Transfer Shortlist

Barcelona are a team that are always expected to be on the top of every other team in Europe. They have a legacy to maintain as they are considered one of the most elite organizations in the world.

However, in recent years, the family has been crumbling due to poor management and financial decisions. The weight of all the mismanagement off the field had quickly started to affect their performance on the field. This season after a change of manager, a lot of ups and downs, and a new president along with a new board of directors, Barcelona are finally looking to regain their supremacy.

The Blaugranas are still in the race for the La Liga and they have already secured the Copa del Rey. The new president, Joan Laporta, has made a vow to change things around the club and bring the club out of its financial perils. To make the club a formidable team in European football once again, the president knows that he will need to bring in some new players.

Due to the clubs’ countless debts, Ronald Koeman was given very little to work with however, Laporta is planning to take an investment loan or find a new sponsorship to accommodate the transfers of the new players.

According to SPORT, the Catalans have shortlisted six players who they will be targeting at the end of the season. A few players on the list are quite expensive but a majority of them are player’s who will become free agents at the end of the season.

This is a great strategy used by Laporta in order to get some reinforcements without actually spending a dime on transfer fees. Here are the six superstars that Barcelona plan to bring in for the 2021/22 season:
