The Manchester City centre-back, who was originally a La Masia graduate has been rumored to make a return to the Catalan side for months now. The 20-year-old defender went from Barcelona to the English side as he was tired of not being able to break into the main team however, his situation did not change much under Pep Guardiola.

Now homesick, the player wants to return back to his boyhood club even though Pep wants him to stay. The player will become a free agent by the end of the season and will arrive in Catalonia for free. This transfer is as good as done as Koeman tried to attain the defender last year as well only for the Citizens to reject their bid.

The Manchester side wanted a fee of 20 million euros minimum however, the Catalans were in no state to pay that much. Looks like it will be a win for Barca at the end of the day as the player will now be arriving for free and City will not make a single penny from Garcia’s move.
