#6 Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund (Age: 20 | Forward)

One player whom Laporta desperately wants to bring into the club since day one is Erling Haaland. The Borussia Dortmund player has caught everyone’s attention with his ridiculous ability to score goals and at the age of only 20, no one wants to let this potential Ballon d’Or winner slip from their hands. Dortmund are quite aware of this demand but are unwilling to sell him unless an absurdly high amount is paid.

While the Catalans do not have the money currently to afford his transfer fee, let alone his enormous wages, Laporta does have a plan up his sleeve. The president is willing to put some of the money that they will get from the investment bank, Goldman Sach, into the transfer of Haaland. The money is supposed to be for the development of their new stadium however, this is a gamble that Laporta will have to take.

An alternative option would be to find a new sponsorship deal and according to reports, a huge deal worth, 500 million euros, is being negotiated by Laporta. Should this be true, they will have a great chance of signing the talent who has taken the world by a storm.
