Barcelona’s best match in the league last season has to be the one against Real Sociedad. The Catalans were utterly dominant in the match and gave their opponents no time to breathe, no space to push in through and were on top of them all the time. They ended up winning the game 6-1 and it really reminded Barca fans of the 2009 Barcelona when the club used to be the most dominant team in all of Europe and would just bulldoze over the other clubs.

This game gave fans hope that the La Liga title could be secured that very season and if not that season then in the next one as they seemed just unstoppable in that game. However, the team was not able to keep up that form and ended up messing up near the end of the season to finish third on the table below Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Still, that day the team was unstoppable and everyone played their part. Messi of course orchestrated the entire game, scoring one goal and setting up another one for Dest. Youngster Ilaix Moriba also showed off his prowess as he set up Ousmane Dembele for the final goal of the match and Griezmann was the one to start off the magical show. A true display of dominance and true Barcelona performance. Ander Barrenetxea did end up getting a consolation goal for Sociedad but it did not matter to Barcelona who had run away with the game at that point.
