The Catalans were the highest scoring side in La Liga last season so there are a lot of goals to choose from. Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann scored some absolutely beautiful goals however, if we are to talk about the most iconic goal last season, it has to be the goal which Gerard Pique scored in the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

The veteran defender had come back from an injury and was not at his best however, he had to start as Ronald Araujo was out injured. The Catalans managed to get an early goal via Ousmane Dembele however, Sevilla were sitting deep in their own half and were not allowing their opponents to get a clear shot at goal.

Then finally in the 94th minute, Pique scored a perfect header to take the game into extra time. The amount of joy and excitement in the faces of the Barcelona players was enough to show how much it meant to them. Thus the best goal of the season award has to go to Pique for scoring the most vital header in the entire season.
