After signing Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay, Barcelona now find themselves with too many attackers. Therefore, they know they have to move on certain players and one of those is Martin Braithwaite.

More from Everything Barca

According to Sport, Barcelona are preparing to sell the Danish striker and are hopeful he can increase his value during Euro 2020 with his team, Denmark. The report claims that four English Premier League clubs have already asked about Braithwaite.

Barcelona hope the striker can impress during Euro 2020.

Initially, Braithwaite was determined to battle for a place on the team even with the incorporations of Aguero and Depay. But he’s been told that he’s unlikely to see any playing time next season and it would be best to look for a move elsewhere.

Barcelona’s plan is to finalize a move before the start of the preseason.

Braithwaite signed for the Catalan giants during the 2020 winter transfer window as a result of a long-term injury to Ousmane Dembélé. They paid €18 million to bring him from Leganes and want to recuperate a significant amount of that fee back.

In addition to the Premier League, Braithwaite also has an offer from Russia.

At Barcelona, they are happy with the player in terms of his professionalism and how he’s carried himself with the club. In the locker room, he is also well-liked.

However, even with the sale of Luis Suarez and the absence of a natural striker, Braithwaite was second or third choice for manager Ronald Koeman. In many ways, the writing was on the wall.

Next. As always, Ousmane Dembélé’s injury lands Barça in jeopardy. dark

Braithwaite has been the consummate professional and despite not yet getting on the score sheet for Denmark, his movement off the ball and decision-making has impressed. All things considered, a move would probably be the best-case scenario for both sides.
