Bernardo Silva of Manchester City has been a fantastic addition to the blues ever since his arrival. The former Monaco man has won 3 Premier League titles out of the 4 seasons he has stayed in England. He’s a fan favorite and is extremely loved at the club. He’s already one of those players who are at the heart of every song or chant that the fans come up with. Unfortunately for the fans, recent reports are suggesting that Bernardo is unhappy at City and would like to depart this summer with increasing interest towards Barcelona.

Hence, the fans of Manchester City had the toughest time believing that the midfielder wants to leave. Silva is a diverse player and will provide a  lot to any club that he plays for. While Atletico Madrid have shown interest in the Portuguese, Barca remains the favorite.

Bernardo Silva linked with Barcelona once again

While Pep Guardiola wants him to stay, many rumors have surfaced which have stated that the Premier League champion is keen on a move away from Manchester City. In fact, he had his heart set on a move to Barcelona last year itself in 2019/20 but the move fell through and the player was not very happy about it. However, he turned things around to get back to his best form and win another premier league title with Manchester City.

Silva is extremely talented and a very diverse player. He’d make a fantastic addition at Barcelona and he would definitely be a starter in that squad. The former Monaco man is capable of playing as a right-winger, a central midfielder, and as a false 9. He’s brilliant at dribbling and he’s a fantastic passer of the ball. When he plays as a CM, one can use him as a defensive midfielder also given his extraordinary amount of work rate and energy to play the game.

The midfielder is currently 26 and will be turning 27 in August this year. This would mean that he has a lot of time to improve. Barcelona are still interested in the man and the player also seems to want a move to the Nou Camp according to multiple reports from the Manchester Evening News.

This would be a win for both parties. While Bernardo is a regular starter at City, he is still not the main man there. At the Nou Camp, he could potentially have a guaranteed starting position in the squad and Barcelona will have a solid player who is capable of playing multiple positions.

Bernardo is also linked to Atletico Madrid but Barca would be the obvious choice for the player, given the style of football he is comfortable playing with.
