Atalanta’s Robin Gosens has been in top form since last season and many big clubs all around Europe have taken notice of the left-back. According to Tutto Mercato Web, Barcelona are interested in the German international and these very same reports suggest that a simple fee of 35 million euros for the player would be enough for his signature.

More from Everything Barca

The German defender had a fantastic season with Atalanta in Serie A. He played a huge part in securing the top four spot with the Italian club. He scored a total of 12 goals and provided 8 assists in all competitions for Atalanta last season. He is also currently having a fabulous campaign with his international side at the Euros. His recent form has seen many European clubs increase their interest in him after looking at what he’s capable of delivering on the big stage.

While many Premier League sides have shown interest, Barcelona have also been linked to the player according to Tutto Mercato. With the Spanish giants looking to secure a left-back Gosens could be a fantastic addition. The player is currently 26 years old and will be entering his prime years.

Players are pretty expensive these days and currently at Barcelona, given the financial problems they could really use a player who would just cost around 30-35 million euros, given the fact that he’s shown huge potential with Atalanta and Germany.

Barcelona keen on signing a new left-back

Jordi Alba is already pushing mid-thirties and former Real Betis man Junior Firpo does not look to be in the plans of Ronald Koeman. The Catalans are interested in landing a left-back in the summer and Robin Gosens would just be a fantastic option for them especially given such a cheap price.

Other clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are keeping a close eye on the player as well. The reports suggest that Barcelona have already made contact with the club and enquired about Gosens.

All Atalanta want is a total amount of 35 million for a transfer fee and they will be ready to let him leaves. The Blaugranas really need to make the transfer process flow much quicker in order to complete a quick signing before other big teams start considering him as a serious option.
