Barcelona fans allowed back into stadiums for 2021-22 season

Barcelona and football, in general, might be getting a huge boost in business as fans have officially been allowed to return to the stadiums in the 2021-22 season. The fans were not allowed into the stadium ever since the restart back in 2020. However, this time the Health Department has allowed fans back in. This is a big boost for the Catalans as they are still looking for ways to clear their debts and the influx of ticket sales will definitely favour them.

The league did open up for fans near the end of the season and two games were played in front of 5,000 fans last season however, the restart will allow a much greater number of fans to enjoy their teams from the stadiums.

Barcelona fans to get the green light to attend matches from next season

The health minister of Spain confirmed that the Spanish government has allowed them to strike article 15.2, which disallowed fans from entering a football or basketball stadium. Carolina Darias in a public announcement stated,

"“We abolished article 15.2 of the regulation of the new normal that has to do with the influx of public from the ACB Professional Football and Basketball League,”“We delete this article and can return let’s say to normality in terms of fans being allowed into stadiums. It will have to be, as it was before, the regional authorities who determine the capacity.”“I am sure that it will be a very positive reception from the whole world of sport and the country.”Source Goal"

While the government won’t allow the clubs to fill up their stadiums, La Liga’s president, Javier Tebas, believes that the clubs will be allowed to fill up 70 percent of their stadiums. The new season is supposed to start in August and the Catalans cannot wait to have the fans back in the stadium.

The next season will be a deciding season for the club’s future so it will be a big boost to have fans back at the Camp Nou. New faces such as Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay, and Emerson Royal will be able to enjoy their first season with the fans backing them from the stands.
