#2 Ousmane Dembele

Ronald Koeman wanted to sell Ousmane Dembele last season in order to raise funds for Memphis Depay. The former Borussia Dortmund winger was on Manchester United’s radar and since he had a disappointing 2019/20 season with the Catalans, Koeman was ready to let him go. Reports suggested that United was ready to pay up to 90 million euros for the player as they could not bag Jadon Sancho last year.

However, Dembele had no intentions of leaving and canceled the deal at the last moment. After that, Ansu Fati got injured and Koeman was forced to play Dembele. The French winger had a decent season with the Catalans however, he was inconsistent in front of the goal. In some matches, he scored the winning goal, in other matches he struggled to get a shot on target.

However, his decent season must have raised his price tag a bit and it is about time the Catalans cash in on the player. Dembele has only one season left on his contract and the Blaugrana cannot afford to lose him on a free transfer. He is a young player with good potential; however, the Catalans already have Ansu Fati and thus it will be safe to sell Dembele.
