#5 Riqui Puig

While Koeman was kind to a lot of youngsters last season, and even gave a lot of them their breakthrough season, some have not received the same treatment. One such example is La Masia graduate, Riqui Puig. The 21-year-old central-midfielder was hailed as one of the greatest Barca youngsters when Quique Setien was in the managerial position. In the 2019/20 season, the youngster managed to make 12 appearances in all competitions, by comparison, he made 24 appearances last season however, he managed to play just 581 minutes which is just three minutes more than his season under Setien.

This means that although he played more games, he was mostly used as an impact sub or a cameo, and thus he did not have much to show for on the pitch, scoring only one goal the entire season. Puig is a young player with immense potential and Koeman should give this player more chances as he could go on to be one of the most important players for the next era of the club.

The player is determined to stay with the Catalans so instead of just using him as a bench warmer, Koeman should play him on the pitch. Hopefully, next season the player will have a lot more influence on the team, as a player of his caliber should have. Puig is definitely a player to look out for next season, as he was not able to display his true potential in the last one.
