#5 Win: Lionel Messi will finally earn his peace

Many great players like Roberto Baggio, Steven Gerrard, Gianluigi Buffon, left the game unsatisfied. They all had one trophy or the other missing from their collection. For Baggio it was the prestigious World Cup, for Gerrard it was the Premier League, and for Buffon it was the Champions League. All these players are legends in the footballing world however, they could not achieve what they wanted during their careers and that must have haunted them for a long time.

It is the same with Messi, although he may seem like an alien on the pitch, he is a human after all and he feels the same emotions as the rest of us. After unsuccessfully leaving four major finals, the Argentine must be tired of his inability to win anything for Argentina. Although he is one of the most celebrated figures in his home country, he will not have mental peace if he does not win anything for them. Thus, if he is able to bring them the Copa America this year, he can finally rest easy by knowing that he will forever be imprinted in the hearts of every Argentine.
