The center-back was forced to watch four out of the seven matches from the stands due to injury issues; however, he did play in three of the games, including the finals. He managed to keep clean sheets against Uruguay, as well as Brazil, and those are two amazing achievements in themselves. The player who was on loan at Atalanta last season, played a total of 42 matches and managed to score three goals whilst providing three assists.
