#2 Cristian Romero (Argentina)

23-year-old Juventus center-back, Cristian Romero, had a good but not perfect Copa America campaign. The center-back was forced to watch four out of the seven matches from the stands due to injury issues; however, he did play in three of the games, including the finals. The player had an amazing record in the matches that he did play in, three clean sheets in three games. He managed to keep clean sheets against Uruguay, as well as Brazil, and those are two amazing achievements in themselves. The player who was on loan at Atalanta last season, played a total of 42 matches and managed to score three goals whilst providing three assists.

This shows his incredible technique in the air. His amazing defensive work meant that only three teams conceded fewer goals than Atalanta, and Romero even managed to finish higher up in the league table than his parent club. Juve will surely want to retain the young player however, he would be a great asset for Barcelona as well. With the departure of Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, and possibly Gerard Pique as well, Barca will need another center-back in their squad. Romero has proven in the Copas that he is a great up-and-coming new superstar, and Barca could try for him; however, Juve will make sure that he does not leave for cheap.
