#1 Officially Registering their New Signings

Barcelona are in a big financial crunch due to which La Liga decided to put a wage cap on the club. According to The Athletic, the Catalan’s salary cap in 2019/20 was 671 million euros, now they can only boast 160 million euros. This is a huge reduction, and it is hindering contract renewals, as well as, transfers. The few new signings that Barca have made already, Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero, and Eric Garcia, cannot be officially registered with the club as it will exceed their salary cap. It is an unusual scenario when a club has already signed someone but cannot register them. The players will not be able to play for the club if Barca do not fix their budget soon. Thus, the first thing that the Catalans must do is, fix the budget and register the new players so that they can move on to new ones.
