#4 Signing a player whom Barcelona actually need

Barcelona have already signed the likes of Depay, Aguero, and Garcia; however, they are continuously linked with more center-backs, wingers, and midfielders. The club does not require a winger at the moment, they already have Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, and hopefully Lionel Messi as well. What they do require is a left-back to replace the aging Jordi Alba and a striker who will become their main striker for the years to come.

Valencia captain, Jose Gaya, has been on Barca’s radar for quite a while now, and if they can strike a deal with Valencia, they should definitely sign the player. The 26-year-old has similar attributes to Alba and he could finally be the right back to carry on his legacy. On the other hand, while the Catalans did sign a new striker, they need to sign a younger player. Aguero is currently too old to continue at the club for more than a couple of seasons, and after he is gone, Barca will be back to being without a striker.

Thus, they should look for a younger striker, either in this transfer window, or in the next one. Lautaro Martinez is a player whom the club are closely linked with while Erling Haaland is the player whom the club president wants to bring in.
