#5 Chance creation

When Lionel Messi isn’t on the pitch for Barcelona, a lot of possession is kept but it leads to nothing. There have been many instances where the team has kept meaningless possession for whole halves until Messi had to actually come off the bench to make a difference. Saul Niguez will definitely bring in more big chance creation in the team.

The player has an unreal ability to read the opposition set up and create a chance out of nowhere. Whether it’s his short passing range or long passes, he will not require much time and space to create such a situation which will put the team on an attacking front foot. He is able to move brilliantly between lines to receive passes and make forward passes. His crossing ability is also very good, every now and then he can put an attractive ball into the box for his teammates to finish.

He will be a gorgeous addition at Barcelona when it comes to a creative midfield. He may end up having some outstanding link up with the likes of Pedri, Frenkie De Jong, and Lionel Messi.
