Barcelona are currently trying to offload multiple big-name stars to accommodate their four new arrivals in Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia, and Emerson Royal. The new La Liga wage bill has made it difficult for the Catalans to register not only these four superstars but Lionel Messi as well.

The La Liga president has publically warned the club that if they don’t make major sales this summer, none of these players will be able to play for the club. In order to resolve this crisis, president Joan Laporta has decided to sell or loan every single player that is not crucial for the sporting project for next season.

Philippe Coutinho, Antoine Griezmann, Clement Lenglet, Samuel Umtiti, Miralem Pjanic, and many more have already been linked with an exit, while veterans like Sergio Busquets, Sergi Roberto, and Jordi Alba have been already told to accept a wage cut in order to continue at the Nou Camp.

While Barca is struggling to sell the likes of Griezmann or Dembele, Miralem Pjanic is one such figure that has been increasingly nearing an exit this summer. While many European sides are interested in acquiring the 31-year-old. his former side Juventus remains his favorite.

Barca and Juve were even rumored to have been discussing a swap deal involving Pjanic but the two sides couldn’t reach an agreement. The Italian side are keen on signing Manuel Locatell instead of Pjanic, but La Gazzetta (via TuttoJuve) have revealed that Sassuolo and Juventus aren’t able to reach an agreement.

With Locatelli potentially out, Pjanic could very well be Juve’s next target, which is great news for Barca who are keen on selling the Bosnian international.
