Barcelona are one of the teams who had an aggressive transfer window this time around. With four signings already done, and a few more on the way, the team could be a very different side next season. However, they are not just trying to improve their main team, they are also looking into their B team for the lower division. The B team produced some great players in recent years, and last season, the main team took three players from the B team to the main team. Thus with the introduction of Antonio Aranda to the B side, the lower division team still looks strong and can continue producing talents for the first team.

The Catalans were famous for producing excellent academy players, and the introduction of Ronald Araujo, Oscar Mingueza, and Ilaix Moriba from the B team shows just how strong their development academies still are. However, since the main team did take these strong players from the B side, their team was left a bit weak, thus with the transfer of Aranda, things are looking good again. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined from the Granada second team to the Barcelona second team, and hopefully, his performance can grant him a place in the first team as well.
Barcelona are serious about Antonio Aranda
The player’s contract with the Andalusian’s B team had expired, and the Catalans could sign him on a free transfer, thus staying true to their transfer tactics this season. The Catalans are yet to spend a transfer fee on any player, as they have been exclusively signing free agents. The B team have already signed the likes of Kays Ruiz and Ferran Jutgla on free transfers, and the likes of Yusuf Demir and Jordi Escobar on loan deals.
The player has been signed on a two-year deal with a 50 million release clause which shows us that the Catalans are serious about this player. The high release clause will ward off other teams from approaching him in the future. With Ronald Koeman focusing on the youths in the club, these players have a good chance of even making it to the first team. We will have to keep an eye on the best performers in the B team, as Koeman could call up a few in the next season itself.
