The 18-year-old youngster from Austria, dubbed as the ‘Austrian Messi’ has been magical in the preseason so far. The player who is currently with the B side on a loan from the Austrian side, Rapid Vienna, has impressed so far, and even scored a goal against the German side, VFB Stuttgart, in their latest friendly. The player played 25 games in the Austrian Bundesliga last season, and scored six goals while providing three assists. He even left a mark on the European stage, as he played in 4 games in the Europa League, and scored against Irish side Dundalk. He was scouted out by Barcelona, and offered a loan contract with a buyout option, which will allow them to permanently sign the player from Vienna for a fee of only 10 million euros. The player has shown some great footwork in these first few friendlies, and he could produce some serious results in the B team this season. If his recent performances are anything to go by, Barcelona could have uncovered a real gem, and at the price of only 10 million euros, he would be an absolute steal. However, we still have to see him perform in the first team before we can come to any concrete conclusions.
