1. PSG

Arguably, PSG are favourites to land Messi. There are very few clubs in the world right now who can afford Messi and PSG are one of those clubs. The French giants have been attentive over Messi’s contract all summer and it now finally looks they can go all out to sign him.

They are probably in the driving seat to sign the Argentine as they can not only offer him a lucrative package but also a team filled with world class players. Just the thought of a trio of Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe looks devastating.

Under Luis Enrique, Barcelona formed the most devastating trio in Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar. The trident quite literally broke the game, swallowing opponents and spitting their bones. Since then several teams have tried to imitate a similar ferocious front three but have been unsuccessful.

If PSG does manage to sign the Argentine maestro, the trident of Messi, Mbappe and Neymar will definitely wreak havoc in Europe. Signing for the Parisiens will also enable him to reunite with his pal Neymar as the duo has often publicly expressed their desire to play together.

PSG’s squad is now one of the most elite and talented in Europe and with Messi’s addition, they’ll likely be the favourites to win the Champions League.
