While the two Demirs are in no way related, they do share a commonality, which is being among the most promising youngsters in world football. Marca via Sport reports that the Catalans will soon confirm the signing of Kayserispor’s starlet, Emre Demir, before the end of the transfer window.
While several European giants are rumored to be interested in the 17-year-old winger/attacking midfielder, Joan Laporta has been quick to make the deal happen to add to the squad’s attacking depth after losing Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona set to sign another youngster
Barca will have to pay 4 million euros for the transfer and the deal could potentially also include few future add-ons. While Yusuf has already had a chance to display his potential at the Nou Camp during the pre-season friendly, Barca fans should be aware that Emre Demir also has a history with Barca.
As a younger footballer, Emre has had trials at both Barca and PSG. While he failed to sign a contract with both, he might be on his way to Barca B either this or next summer after showing tremendous potential in Turkey.
Should the Catalans add to their attacking midfielders while already having players like Ansu Fati, Francisco Trincão, Álex Collado, Philippe Coutinho, and many more?
