Barcelona are still trying to adjust to life after the departure of Lionel Messi and it seems that the club is trying to put its best foot forward in this post-Messi era. In the recent summer transfer window, they have managed to bag some quality names like Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia. They now want to bring Dani Olmo to Camp Nou in the January transfer window.

Things took a strange turn for the Catalan side as the club also lost another star player in the form of Antoine Griezmann. On deadline day, the Frenchman opted for a return to Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal with an obligatory buy clause of 40 million euros.

However, the club would now be hoping to rebuild their squad for the near future and therefore, one name has emerged in the club’s wishlist.

According to fresh reports from Mundo Deportivo, RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the winter transfer window. This report has further claimed that the Blaugrana outfit is willing to sign the talented midfielder in the January transfer window.

Olmo,23, has been one of the bright spots for the Bundesliga side and hence his consistent performances have attracted interest from top sides like Real Madrid and Barcelona.

There were also rumours that the Catalan giants were close to signing the Spaniard in the recent summer window but, unfortunately, couldn’t strike a deal with his current employers.

Although, Barcelona could somehow expect the 23-year-old midfielder to join the Camp Nou in January. It has been reported that the player would be happy to shift base and hence would prefer a move to the Blaugrana outfit as he feels it is a “special club”.
