It seems like at this point anything that can go wrong for Barcelona, will go wrong for Barcelona. The team has fallen down from their elite position at the top of the European mountain, and recently they had to sack their manager, Ronald Koeman, as well. The lack of funds and consistent performances are leaving fans feeling annoyed and frustrated. While everyone in the club, the team, board, and the fans realize that it’s a long way up, the club could use some luck going in its favour. Barca have been extremely unlucky this season and yesterday, Sergio Aguero, one of their main players collapsed to the ground with heart problems.
In the middle of the game, almost suddenly, the Argentine was having some breathing difficulties and was seen clutching his chest. He then laid down on the floor and complained about an uncomfortable feeling in his chest. After a few minutes of on-field emergency treatment, it was decided that he would not be able to carry on in the game. He was substituted for Philippe Coutinho and Aguero was sent to a hospital for a cardiac exam. While it was probably not a major heart attack, as that would have more severe consequences, this could be a bad sign for the Blaugrana.
Aguero was apparently playing with the pain throughout the first half but apparently started to get dizzy and then he could not carry on. He did not require a stretcher and managed to walk off the pitch by himself. This could be a good sign and maybe it is just a minor complication however, as of now we do not know how bad the situation truly is. Recent reports have revealed that Aguero has been diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia.
As of now, everyone is just hoping that the player is not in too much discomfort. He is a brilliant player and a very important one for Barca but his health comes first and he should recover properly before playing another game.
